Community of Practice Overview

The ICRC-S holds an annual virtual Community of Practice that provides researchers, injury and violence prevention practitioners, and public health professionals with a sustained opportunity to do in-depth learning on topics related to the development of collaborative research projects on suicide prevention. Learning takes place through interactive webinars and helps participants to understand how to form and sustain interdisciplinary research teams. The major goal of each Community of Practice is to find ways for suicide prevention practitioners and researchers to work together to reduce suicide-related morbidity and mortality. The ICRC-S’s first Community of Practice began in June 2013.
